Utilising its in-house video-editing
facilities, Exposure gives young people their first taste of
the film industry. They watch
and discuss professionally
made films before going on to develop and produce their own – whether
music videos, dramas or documentaries. During the year, with
a grant from Haringey Youth Opportunities Fund, Exposure ran ‘Exposure
Music Factory’,
enabling young volunteer filmmakers to produce a series of
music videos and documentaries to help local young musicians
promote themselves on
the internet.
Over the year, young people were
also involved in the production a video for an environmental awards ceremony
and a
video on Moselle School’s
involvement in the Tour de France, both commissioned by Haringey Neighbourhood
Support Management. They were also involved in the production of ‘Back
to the shop floor’, a video for Better Haringey and ‘Haringey
Youth Awards’ for Haringey Youth Service.
A documentary and a series of short video commercials
were also produced as part of Exposure’s campaign activities,
see Campaigns below. Some 60 young people were involved in
Exposure’s video activities during the year.
Clips of Exposure’s videos are available on its
website and also on YouTube at www.youtube.com/exposureuk,

| I
have benefited from working with experienced staff who
made me feel welcome. I also learnt how to work independently
and also got help from staff. I also had the opportunity
to know more about Photoshop and Illustrator. Help was
always given to me when I needed it, especially on my design.
